The Ulster Unionist Party’s Economy Spokesperson, Alan Chambers MLA, has welcomed the appointment of Professor Ian Greer as the new vice–chancellor at Queen’s University.
Alan Chambers MLA said:
“I welcome the appointment of a new vice-chancellor at Queen’s University.
“The post has been vacant since the passing of Professor Patrick Johnston who made such a telling contribution and I note that Professor Ian Greer has said he wishes to build upon his late predecessor's achievements.
“Queen’s has made and continues to make an immense contribution to Northern Ireland in so many spheres and has a world-wide reputation for excellence. I wish Professor Ian Greer every success in his new role, which he is due to take up in August.”
