The Ulster Unionist Party's Fermanagh and South Tyrone MLA, Rosemary Barton, has expressed her shock at the death of a pedestrian in an apparent hit and run incident in Dungannon.
Mrs Barton said:
“My thoughts first and foremost go out to the man’s family. As I understand it, a male pedestrian was hit by a vehicle which failed to stop around 7:50pm on the Killyman Road in Dungannon on Tuesday night.
“I am appalled that someone could hit a pedestrian and drive away as if nothing has happened. I urge the driver to come forward to the PSNI as soon as possible. If anyone witnessed the incident on the Killyman Road, please contact the PSNI on 101 quoting reference 1263 30/01/2018.”
