Robbie Butler condemns reckless Hilden pipe bomb attack

hereThe Ulster Unionist Party’s Lagan Valley MLA Robbie Butler has condemned this morning’s pipe bomb attack on a house in Hilden near Lisburn.

Robbie Butler MLA said:

“This morning I visited Mill Street in Hilden, the site of last night’s pipe bomb attack, with my party colleague Councillor Nicholas Trimble.

“We are both angry and disgusted at the blatant disregard for human life shown by whoever left these devices.

“I know this area well because I grew up there. It has always been a quiet area, home to many young families and it was the height of recklessness to transport explosive devices such as these and detonate them here.

“Nothing can justify acts of violence. Nobody in Lisburn wants this type of activity and the people responsible must be caught and punished.”
