Ulster Unionist Party Education spokesperson Rosemary Barton MLA has highlighted her support for World Book Day which is due to take place on Thursday 1st March 2018.
Mrs Barton said:
"I recently had the opportunity to visit Dungannon Library and see first-hand the modern facilities on offer to the public. I was extremely impressed by the children’s section on the ground floor and it was encouraging to see so many young people making use of the different facilities that are available through the library services.
"Following a recent survey of school children in Northern Ireland which found that many children are not reading books which are challenging enough for their age, I strongly encourage children of all ages to come along and borrow books from their local library on World Book Day, and discover the great fun and excitement that can be had by reading books."
