Ulster Unionist Peer, Lord Empey has called on the UK Government to repatriate NI Health powers back to Westminster.
Lord Empey said:
“In the House of Lords today, I again called on the UK Government to repatriate powers for the Department for Health in Northern Ireland back to Westminster on humanitarian grounds.
“We are increasingly hearing terrible stories of those languishing on waiting lists and as we enter the winter months this is not going to get any better.
“Further inaction by the UK Government is not an option. They cannot stand by while Northern Ireland remains in a state of political paralysis. They must urgently take control of this situation.”
