Ulster Unionist MEP Jim Nicholson has expressed his condolences to the victims of Tuesday’s shootings in Strasbourg.
Jim Nicholson MEP said:
“Yesterday’s indiscriminate attack on people going about their business enjoying Strasbourg’s popular and bustling Christmas market was sickening and I wish to extend my condolences to all those affected by this horrific incident.
“Before votes in the European Parliament this morning MEPs and parliamentary staff observed a minute’s silence for those killed and injured during the shooting.
“My thoughts are with all the victims of the attack and with the police and security forces tasked with hunting down and bringing the gunman to justice."
