Chambers condemns Kesh murder bid on police officer

Ulster Unionist Policing Spokesperson, Alan Chambers MLA has condemned an attempt to murder a police officer at his home in County Fermanagh.

Alan Chambers MLA said:

“I am absolutely disgusted to learn that at the very start of a New Year, the police are investigating an attempt to murder an off duty officer at his home near Kesh in County Fermanagh in the early hours of Thursday morning.

“As a member of the Policing Board I have seen at firsthand how dedicated our police officers are and how they selflessly carry out their duties in serving and protecting the entire community.

“This incident is a stark and unwelcome reminder of the dangers faced by our police officers both on and off duty.”
