Sammy Wilson`s lack of attention to detail shines through – Stewart

Ulster Unionist MLA, John Stewart, has described Sammy Wilson`s ill-thought-out attack on the Health Minister as a reflection of Sammy`s continued lack of attention to detail.

John Stewart, an Ulster Unionist MLA for East Antrim, said:

“Sammy Wilson is up to his old tricks again, using the Health Department as a smokescreen to attack the Executive which takes the decisions on Coronavirus regulations. It`s clear that Sammy still hasn`t got over being overlooked for the leadership of the DUP.

“Sammy should instead speak to his own East Antrim party colleague and Junior Minister Gordon Lyons MLA who has laid the Health Protection Coronavirus Regulations in the Assembly on behalf of the Executive rather than reverting to type and attacking Robin Swann just because he`s an Ulster Unionist. I feel sorry for Gordon having to put up with Sammy`s antics.

“This is the sort of detail that Sammy conveniently misses when he gets on his soapbox, in the same way that his lack of attention to detail has helped create a border in the Irish Sea. Less hot air and more thought would go a long way.”
