Ulster Unionist Leader, Steve Aiken OBE MLA, has welcomed Health Minister, Robin Swann`s announcement of over 1,000,000 vaccine doses being delivered in Northern Ireland.
Steve Aiken said:
“Delivering over 1,000,000 vaccine doses in Northern Ireland is a historic milestone on the road out of the Covid-19 pandemic. It couldn`t have been done without the collective efforts of everybody in the Health and Social Care sector, led by Health Minister Robin Swann. And it couldn’t have been delivered without being part of the United Kingdom`s hugely successful Vaccination Programme which continues to be rolled out at pace across the nation.
“There is still a long road ahead, but we are making huge strides to shorten that journey. I would appeal to anyone who falls within the current cohorts for vaccination to come forward and book their appointment. We can look forward to better days ahead.”
