Ulster Unionists welcome approval for Ballyclare Relief Road

Local Ulster Unionist Party representatives, including the Party Leader Steve Aiken OBE MLA, Councillor Vera McWilliam and Councillor Norrie Ramsay have welcomed the Infrastructure Minister’s decision to approve the Northern Section of the Ballyclare Relief Road.

Steve Aiken OBE MLA said:

“This is good news for Ballyclare which will be welcomed by all who want to see an improvement in the chronic traffic situation and will help build the future of our wonderful town.” 

Councillor Vera McWilliam said:

“This is welcome news after many years of campaigning. I know that it will be the cause of a great deal of happiness in both Ballyclare and the surrounding villages 

Councillor Norrie Ramsay said:

“We have been working for this development for many years now. Today’s decision by the Minister is to be welcomed. We must now focus all our efforts on making swift progress and delivering this much needed infrastructure.”
