Beggs condemns Greenisland arson attack

Roy Beggs MLA has urged the community in Greenisland to pass on details of any suspicious activity to the police, following a series of arson attacks in the area on Wednesday morning.

The Ulster Unionist said

“With three separate malicious fires destroying property in Greenisland within a short period of time, we are fortunate that no one was seriously injured or killed.   I would call on the local community to report any suspicious activity they may have noticed in the area and to assist police in identifying whoever is responsible”.

“Once started a fire can quickly go beyond the control of the Fire & Rescue Service and these instances could easily have resulted in fatalities. The sooner those responsible are apprehended the better.”
