Ulster Unionist Party MLA Sandra Overend has welcomed the news that The Jungle NI has been commended in the category of ‘Best Visitor Experience’ at the Gala Awards Ceremony, held by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board on Monday 21st May 2012.
Commenting on the award, Sandra Said,
“I was thrilled to attend the Gala Awards Ceremony to support local businesses. The Jungle NI has been open since 2005 and offers a unique and wide range of outdoor activities that caters for everyone. They do a vital job in attracting people to Northern Ireland and, in particular, Mid- Ulster.
Also recognised on the night were Walsh’s Hotel, Maghera, and The Brewers House, Donaghmore, which were commended in the ‘Hotel Accomodation’ and ‘Taste of Northern Ireland’ categories respectively.
These award shows that the hard work done by the teams involved has not gone unnoticed. Having successful, award winning businesses like this in Mid-Ulster does a lot of good for the area, and it is always pleasing to see this local enterprises being awarded formally by the NITB.”
